Strengthen & Expand the five fold ministry
The P-50 initiative, which stands for “Project 50,” is an effort to strengthen and expand the existing five-fold ministry within the MYF in the Tamil Annual Conference. This initiative aims to support the ministry by reaching out to 100 sponsors, which represents an estimated 1% of the conference’s total members.
The initiative works on the basis of each individual pledging RM 50 per month, resulting in a yearly contribution of RM 600. With the support of 100 sponsors, our goal is to achieve a minimum annual target of RM 60,000.
We envision establishing a dedicated youth department by the year 2028. This department would serve as a platform for young individuals to fully commit themselves to ministry, showing their strong faith commitment and eagerness to contribute to the church’s growth and influence.

Youth Development
The Youth Development Ministry exists to nurture and equip young people both spiritually and in leadership. It provides a platform to identify potential leaders and support them with guidance and skill-building opportunities. Our “hangout” gatherings, which bring together around 70 youths, serve as energetic spaces for fellowship, bonding, and faith-building in a supportive environment.
Through the “Teen School” initiative, we focus on strengthening teenagers’ spiritual foundations by deepening their understanding of faith, personal growth, and the role of MYF. With your P-50 contribution, we aim to expand these impactful programs so more youths can grow in Christ together.
MEDIA
Our mission is to engage and inspire youth through media while evangelizing and sharing God’s Word with the unreached. We’ve established a strong foundation with our official website, offering insights into our Youth Fellowship.
Our Bible study series deepens faith and builds meaningful connections. The creation of our benediction theme song reinforces messages of hope and belief. Through the media ministry, we’ve also uncovered young talents within our community, offering them platforms to serve, grow, and contribute creatively. This approach not only strengthens individual potential but also enriches the overall impact of the MYF ministry.
Education
One aim of the P-50 initiative is to provide financial support to B40 youths who encounter challenges financially in completing their higher education as we believe that financial constraints should never be a barrier to personal and academic development. With limited resources, the initiative has already made a meaningful impact so far from years 2022 to 2024, by blessing 23 youths with financial assistance amounting to RM 550 per student.
This financial aid could alleviate the burden of educational expenses, including tuition fees, study materials, and other essentials, making it possible for these students to pursue their dreams and aspirations. However, our vision extends beyond these efforts, as we seek to expand its reach and touch the lives of even more students. When education is for all, initiatives like P-50 play a crucial role in building a more inclusive and promising future for our youths – and we’re counting on your contributions to help us reach many more!
COUNSELING
We believe that mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and it demands significant attention and care. We recognize the importance of mental health and acknowledge the critical role that organizations like Malaysian Care play in addressing mental health issues in our nation. We are actively working with Malaysian Care and other partners to raise awareness about mental health issues. In recent years, we have witnessed youth facing various challenges, and our efforts have been geared towards providing them with both spiritual and psychological support.
This holistic approach aims to help them navigate their difficulties and strengthen their well-being. Their counseling services provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to express their feelings and concerns. Their trained counselors offer guidance, coping strategies, and emotional support, empowering individuals to effectively manage their mental health.
PRAYER
The next ministry is Prayer. This ministry serves as a sustainer, acting as the driving force behind the entire youth ministry.
Within the five-fold ministry, prayer is an essential component that not only fuels the spiritual, emotional, and practical aspects of the ministry’s mission but it also helps us understand God’s heartbeat and guidance. It provides guidance, strength, unity, and a deep connection to our God, enabling the ministry to fulfill its purpose effectively.
