About the MYF

Introduction
The Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) is the agency charged with the development of the youth ministry of the Tamil Annual Conference (TAC), Methodist Church in Malaysia. It comes under the purview of the Youth Department led by the TAC Director of Youth Works.
The Agency itself consist of a conference level youth leadership, district level youth leadership and the local church leadership. Each level is headed by a President and an Executive Committee elected every year from among the youth members. Membership is open to any youth aged between 15 to 27 years and in sympathy with the Methodist Church in Malaysia.
Objectives
The objectives of the MYF is as follows;
(a) Achieve a vital relationship with Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
(b) To grow in Christian character
(c) Render effective and joyous service to the Church and the society at large.
(d) Win others into the kingdom of God.
Covenant
We of the Methodist Youth Fellowship answer God’s call to be a Christian community, a fellowship to worship and study, for service, alert and responsive to God’s action in his age and to love Jesus Christ to the end that
In truth we may know ourselves as His own,
In faith we may be obedient to His will
In love we may fulfill his mission among all people
Motto
The motto of the Methodist Youth Fellowship is “Christ Above All”
