Ready for an experience like no other? Youh Empowerment School (YES2010) with the theme Truth Quest promises to be a whole lot of fun. Specially organised for SPM & STPM school leavers, the Youth Empowerment School will be conducted like the Survivor camp with various tribes and each participant has to take part in games, challenges and
more, to score points for their tribes.
YES2010 seeks to equip participants with strong Christian characters through a variety of means such as seminars, games, challenges, team projects and more.
Activities include: Camp Fire Nite, Treasurer Hunt in PD Town, Hiking at Tanjung Rachado, Beach Games and more! So sign up before 15 December 2009!

PBMM (the General Conference Methodist Youth Fellowship), will be setting up their website soon and are soliciting ideas, thoughts, suggestions, feedbacks and anything else you wanna’ thrown in. Just make sure its helpful!

TAC MYF Leaders Elected to the Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia (PBMM)

20th October 2009,Methodist HQ, Petaling Jaya : The Methodist Youth Fellowship of Tamil Annual Conference once again proved itself as a LEADERSHIP DEVELOPER when two of its Board Members were elected into the Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia’s ( PBMM ) Executive Committee at the Annual General Meeting.
Bro. Edwin Selvanesan (TAC MYF President / TMC Banting ) and Bro. Jullian John (TAC MYF Treasurer / TMC Subang Jaya ) were elected
Vice President 1 and Secretary 1 respectively. Rev. Jonathan Jesudas (TAC Youth Director) was also elected as one of the Advisors.
Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia is the highest body of the Methodist Youth Fellowship of the Methodist Church in Malaysia.
To have two of OUR youths sitting in the Executive Committee of Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia is something to be proud off.
Bro.Edwin Selvanesan is currently the TAC Methodist Youth Fellowship President. He also serves as the Selangor District Conference Statistician and he’s also the Membership Chairman of TMC Banting. Being actively involved in Youth Ministry and also Music & Worship Ministry, Edwin believes that youths are not only leaders of tomorrow but they are also LEADERS OF TODAY !.
Bro. Jullian John is currently the TAC Methodist Youth Fellowship Treasurer, TAC Selangor District Methodist Youth Fellowship President, TAC Selangor District Conference Secretary and also TMC Subang Jaya Secretary. Being a person actively involved in Youth Ministry, Bro.Jullian believes that MYF is a place where good administrators and leaders are developed and he is in the process of making all efforts to develop and strengthen leaders among the young people of the Local Churches in the District.
The Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia is in the process of being registered to the Registrar of Youth under the Youth & Sports Ministry of the Government. Through this registration, the youths of Methodist Church in Malaysia would have a voice in the Government and also would be able
to benefit from all Government created opportunities and fundings that would be made available for various programmes / projects.
At the recently held TAC Methodist Youth Fellowship Annual General Meeting, during the presentation of the TAC MYF President’s Report, Bro.Edwin did mention that Bro.Jullian and himself would ensure that the TAC Youths benefit from whatever available resources or opportunities created by the Government through the registration of Persaudaraan Belia Methodist Malaysia to the Registrar or Youth.
In a related matter, Rev. Jonathan Jesudas, the TAC Director for Youth Works was also appointed as a Youth Parliament Member by the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia. This appointment further adds to the TAC MYF and PBMM’s ability to voice its concerns, share its vision and contribute towards positive growth on youth related matters in Malaysia.
As a Conference we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and bless Rev. Jonathan, Bro.Edwin & Bro.Jullian for their achievement. We also pray that
God would continue to use them mightily to BUILD HIS KINGDOM and that GOD’S NAME would be GLORIFIED through their leadership.

Report of the TAC MYF AGM 2009

Sixty one delegates and a host of observers attended the TAC Methodist Youth Fellowship Annual General Meeting held on 30th October 2009 at Tamil Methodist Church Kuala Lumpur. The AGM started at 9.30am and ended 1.45pm.
The AGM started with a word of prayer by the former TAC MYF President Bro.Rannet Prabakaran Mano. In his greetings he challenged the youths to do great things for Christ and to use the MYF as a platform to GROW after which Bro.Johnathan John of TMC Kepala Batas led in a time of Praise & Worship.
Rev.Vincent Jayaraj gave a powerful, inspiring and also challenging message for the youths. He challenged the young people to serve God and see how God would lift them up in due time.
After the meditation ended, the meeting was called to order and the bar was set by the Chairman of the AGM Bro.Edwin Selvanesan. After running through the minutes of the previous AGM, Bro.Edwin presented the TAC MYF President’s report. In his report he stated the programmes organized and participated by the TAC MYF and also highlighted on the areas of development and strength of the MYF. As leadership is one of the main concerns, youths were challenged to take up leadership as many are shunning away from serving God in the MYF.
The Treasurer, Bro.Jullian John presented the finance report of the MYF. He also gave a comparison on the income and expenses as at mid year 2009 compared to 2008. Delegates expressed their satisfaction as they are confident that the MYF funds were well spent and records kept accurately.
After a short break it was the turn of the District Presidents to present their reports. Reports from all six Districts were presented by the Presidents or Vice Presidents in their absence. It was great to see good and improved reports presented by the Districts. This was a proof that the District MYF leadership is indeed doing a good job in serving God among the youths.
A few issues were discussed during the Any Other Business session. The main item was on the amendment to Article 12 of the Constitution Amendment. The delegates gave thumbs up to the proposed amendment that was tabled by the Board. The new Article 12 would see the MYF Constitution would be amended only once in four years and the amendment process would include formation of a Constitution Review Board – etc.
The Recommendation and Resolution session also saw good news for the youths of Ulu Tiram Outreach of Tamil Methodist Church Johor Baharu.
Elections were the final part of the AGM. It was chaired by the Youth Director, Rev.Jonathan Jesudas. All delegates present were eligible to vote as all local chapters have paid their dues on time as per constitution requirement. Mr. Tharmapal the TAC Lay Leader gave his greetings and prayed for the election process and also for the outreach point of Ulu Tiram which would be officially made into a PMYF.
Bro.Edwin Selvanesan was re-elected President of TAC MYF for the third consecutive term un-opposed. Bro. Sharveen Kumar of TMC Sentul was elected Vice President of the TAC MYF. Sis. Rebecca Isaac of TMC Sentul was elected Secretary of the TAC MYF. Bro.Jullian John was re-elected Treasurer of TAC MYF for the third consecutive term un-opposed.
Rev.Vincent Jayaraj led in the prayer of dedication of the new office bearers and pronounced the benediction after which Bro.Edwin Rajan ( TMC Tamil Settlement ) led in the singing of the MYF Benediction. The delegates adjourned for lunch after the AGM ended.
The TAC MYF would like to thank the TAC President and Lay Leader for their presence, former MYF Presidents Mr.Rannet Mano and Mr.Jacob Emmanuel for their presence and encouragement, all Pastors and Church Leaders who took time off to be present at the AGM, TMC KL for the venue and also TMC KL MYF for taking charge of registration, physical arrangements and meals.
May the name of our Lord be glorified through our ministry !
